Preparation and Usage
1) Fill Bag
Fill bag up to dotted line with aluminiumpods only, ensuring they are drained of any liquid. Caution, contents might be hot.
2) Remove Liquid
Remove any excess liquid from bag.
3) Seal Bag
Step 1.Press grip seal at top of bag (1) firmly for tight seal.
Step 2.Peel off white strip (2) and press adhesive firmly. Ensure both seals are closed tight.
4) Arrange a Return
Check the Podback website www.podback.org to see which services are available where you live and then choose the most convenient option:
- Drop off:Add a bag to your Ocado order and seal when full. Visit the Podback website www.podback.org to print a returns label either at home or at a Yodel store, and then drop off at that location.
- Kerbside service:Sign up on the Podback website and you'll receive a supply of free recycling bags and instructions on how to recycle as part of your local council's service.Recycling Information
What is Podback?
Podback is a pod recycling service on a mission to ensure that every coffee pod enjoyed is also recycled.
Do I need to remove the coffee grounds from the pod?
No, there's no need to empty your pods, but please drain any remaining liquid from them before putting them in your recycling bag. Caution, contents might be hot.
Do the pods stay in the UK?
Yes! Aluminium pods are recycled in Cheshire and plastic pods are recycled in Yorkshire, so your pod doesn't have to travel far to become something new.
How are the pods recycled?
Bags of pods are shredded which removes the pods from the bags and the coffee from the pods.
How are the shredded materials reused?
* The coffee is removed and used to create renewable energy (biogas) and soil improver
* The plastic (bags and pods) are used in the manufacture of building materials
* The aluminium is used in the manufacture of drink cans and car components
